Living on the Water

On the site of the historic Houthaven, right in the heart of Zaandam, a unique and forward-looking residential project has been created: Marinapark Houthaven. This distinctive marina park harmoniously combines living, recreation, dining, and water experiences. The highlight is the approximately 300-meter-long wooden boardwalk, which serves as a connecting route over the water, linking all parts of the project and creating a vibrant, accessible environment.

The plan includes 29 mooring spots for houseboats. These berths have residential permits, official postal addresses, and all associated amenities, making comfortable living on the water fully possible. More than half of the moorings have already been sold, but several attractive spots are still available for interested parties.

The berths can accommodate vessels up to 40 meters in length, provided they are well maintained and recognizable as (historic) boats. Additionally, there is space for three house barges. These can be either newly built homes or existing ones, as long as they meet the established quality criteria.
